A "click"-type torque wrench is often used on vehicles to ensure that nuts and bolts are tightened the proper amount. Such a torque wrench is effectively a socket wrench with a calibrated clutch. The clutch slips once a preset torque level is reached, ensuring that you do not over-tighten nuts and bolts. Torque wrenches can be set to a range of torques, with different size wrenches having different torque ranges. It is highly recommended that you have a torque wrench when working on a DeLorean, and that you obey the torque specifications outlined in the DeLorean Workshop Manual and DeLorean Technical Manual's service bulletins.
