This page is used by the Glossary extension to create tooltip-style definitions of keywords. There is also a more detailed glossary article available.

Usage Edit

Simply hover your mouse over a keyword you want the definition of. A question mark mouse pointer will appear. Leave the mouse there for a few seconds and a definition will pop up.

Adding new Glossary Tooltips Edit

Each entry in the tooltip glossary starts with a semicolon, followed the keyword, a colon, and the definition. Since these are tooltips, MediaWiki markup and HTML are not allowed. Each entry should be on its own line. Definitions should be kept short, as the tooltip itself will appear on a single line. For example:

;NOS:New Old Stock or New Original Stock

NOS is the keyword, and is surrounded by a semicolon and a colon. The remainder of the line is the tooltip that will appear when you hover over the word "NOS".

Glossary Article Edit

Glossary tooltip descriptions should be short summaries of the term. For more detail, you should add the enter to the glossary article as well. You can then link directly the term to the glossary article with the following markup:

[[Glossary#term]]

where term is the term to be looked up in the glossary article.
